The Guide 17 represents the evolution of the square stern type canoe. In many ways, she is similar to the well known Grand Lakers. The 17 differs in that her beam is carried further aft offering greater stability and buoyancy.

The Guide 17 is well suited for a cruise along the shore as well as camping and fishing trips.

Each Guide 17 includes custom composite bench seats which are structurally bonded to the hull. The seats, which are cored with 2lb. foam, provide enough bouncy to meet or exceed Coast Guard requirements.
